Ancient Christianities
On March 27 2024, a conference on ancient Christianities was held at Baylor University under the auspices of the Institute for Studies of Religion, ISR. The event was chiefly to celebrate the publication of the new Cambridge History of Ancient Christianity. The four main presentations were as follows:
Philip Jenkins, “Reading the Cambridge History of Ancient Christianity.”
Bruce Longenecker, “Looking in the Rear View Mirror: The Cambridge History of Ancient Christianity in the Making.”
David Wilhite, “From Patristics to the Next Frontier: Recent Shifts and Future Trajectories in Ancient Christian History.”
Robin Jensen, “Mutual Assistance Beyond the Grave: The Prayers of The Dead for the Living and the Living for the Dead.”
