Chinese is a picture-based language... and it is common for smaller symbols to be combined to make other words. For example... here is the word for “large boat” made up of the symbols for vessel, the number eight, and people... that's Noah's ark. The Chinese language, from thousands of years ago, tells the same story as Genesis.
