26/03/2019 - Old music removed due to Article 13 so that the video can stay up. A shame that just by merely having the song in here lets them claim the entire video, as if my own work meant nothing and has no importance.

A visual look at some general anatomy of quadrapedal mammels, applied to drawings and animation.
Why do i use Non-existant, mythical creatures? Well this isnt a guide on a specific creature's anatomy. Anatomy differs from creature to creature, even between breeds of a species like dogs and horses, and its very much encouraged that you go look at them yourselves and glean what you need. What i've done here, is taken what i've learnt from studying thousands of horses, dogs, big cats and other creatures, applied them to and formed my own creatures to use as a generalised example.
With a healthy knowledge of a species' general anatomy, you can then start to play around with its limitations and make your characters more believable.

So, Pokemon GO is apparently a huge success. I stopped following main series Pokemon after the third generation and its not really appealed to me since... Until now.
First gen was always my favorite, it came out at the perfect time when I was still at Secondary school and being a gamer from a very young age, I was definately in on it and found so many other friends who were into it too. So first gen will always have that special place in my mind as something I had immense fun playing and competing with friends.
I am very late to the party, but Pokemon GO did pique my interest when I saw it was only first gen (I cant handle the 700 or so that we have now ) and Ive been meaning to get a new phone anyway, so my old iPhone 4 got replaced with something better that can also handle Pokemon GO. For a casual mobile game, its pretty fun =p
Anyway. My last drawing video proved to be extremely unpopular in comparison to other draw videos Ive done. Maybe it was the shorter length, the subject itself or other things. So heres something that might be more appealing. A longer video for one, a more well known subject and also a more stylised way of colouring.
In general, my draw videos arent as well received as my animations. I know, but I cant bust out animations on a regular basis, youll have to put up with a few of these from time to time =p so let me know, what you like to see in Draw videos.
Left side is my drawing space only, right side is the whole screen so you can see more of what im actually doing.
The reason my screen is sideways is because I use a Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet PC and turn the screen and lid sideways to draw on. In this configuration, my left hand can easily press Ctrl/shift/etc when I need to while I draw with my right.

Back in 2008, I was a huge fan of MonHun games and drew a chibi Naruga: http://darkmanethewerewolf.deviantart.com/art/Chibi-Monster-Hunter-Naruga-104793459
Now, 2016, as Im just about learning to draw properly, I decided I ought to have another go at it, and Im still a huge fan of MonHun.
The old Naruga drawing had always bothered me, partly from the awkward angle, crooked tail and the misshapen beak, but even at the time that I drew it, it never looked the way I had intended it to look. Its probably one of the worst Chibi MonHun draws Ive ever done (Also my chibi Teo but I digress).
For those of you who might be wondering why, if I was so ashamed of the old one, do I still keep it in my DeviART gallery and not just replace it with this lovely new one? I never delete any of my old work because theyre all a part of my journey in learning art and animation throughout the years. They show how I developed as a young artist to what I am today, and Im hoping that another 8 or so years is going to be just as interesting or more so than what I have at the moment.
Most importantly, it shows that improvement does infact happen not overnight, but over a long period of work and study. No one starts off perfect at anything and drawing is no different. For people who feel like they dont get it right the first time, I dont get it right first time either =p and perseverence will help you improve.
