bap8guy | AN272U 5 Watt Audio Power Amplifier IC Test Circuit @bap8guy | Uploaded January 2016 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
A prospective customer in Australia, mentioned that he had a stereo amplifier unit where someone had replaced one of the AN272U Ic units with an AN272 and that side doesn't work. My research said they were the same electrically, so I decided to bread-board a 5 w amplifier using the AN272U and the application circuit from the AN272 datasheet. The results (using an audio sweep generator for input) are on this video. It produced a loud audio output of the input signal, so I believe it proved out the assumption.
