Our Keiki Whalewatch program offers an opportunity for local schoolchildren to learn about our oceans by getting a closer look at the whales and other marine animals that live right here in their own backyard. The program is open to school groups from pre-K to high school, and for many participants, this is their first time seeing humpback whales from a boat. Since its inception, Keiki Whalewatch has introduced over 20,000 students to the wonders of whalewatching.

Keiki Whalewatch is offered from January through April and includes a customized whalewatch ecotour and an optional classroom program offered at no additional charge with standards-based, grade-level appropriate, hands-on activities for the students. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, PacWhale Eco-Adventures has suspended vessel operations.

Right now, it is imperative that our team transitions our program engagement to a web-based environment through opportunities like these in order to sustain our connections. The role that our organization plays in keeping people connected for the sake of the environment is incredibly important in times like these. If we all take the proper precautions and continue to treat each other with kindness and care, we’ll get through this together.

We are fortunate to have an online, regularly engaged audience of more than 250,000 individuals. Because now is not the time to be asking for major gifts, we're imagining a moment where each supporter simply donated $5. This would allow our Research, Education and Conservation programs to thrive through this uncertain time. If you are able, we hope you join this exciting vision of ours: pacificwhale.org/donate

We're in this together!
