In this workshop, Tyler will introduce one flexible class of algorithms that can be used for solving multicriteria design optimization problems, and show how these algorithms can be customized by utilizing state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning and domain expertise of the engineer. In order to facilitate this framework for customizing optimization solvers, he will give a brief introduction to the Python library ParMOO, which provides tools and frameworks to make deploying these techniques feasible for engineers with moderate Python programming experience and novice-level understanding of the design optimization process.

He has worked for Aston Martinβs F1 team and is currently a CFD development engineer for WIN-GD.
