We all know technology is hard. That's why big tech makes it easy.
But at what cost? Big tech sells your data to the highest bidder. Or they just lose it to hackers and your data is public forever. If that weren't enough they increasingly clamp down on your privacy and your autonomy by controlling every aspect of what you do. Luckily we can fight back with Open Source software. And the most prominent piece of Open Source software is Linux. David Croisant of Start 9 Labs gave us a brief intro of these technologies and dove into some of history of open source as well.
