Lady Rebecca Fashions | An Edwardian Woman's Fashion Evolution @LadyRebeccaFashions | Uploaded June 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Today, we're going to take a look at the changes in fashion for an Edwardian woman, from about 1906 to 1916. Specifically, these are the costume changes that the character of Mother has in the musical Ragtime, which I am currently playing (in June 2022) at the Lakewood Playhouse in Lakewood, WA. Fashion changed drastically during this period, and it is fun to get to present that fashion evolution onstage.
I designed my costume journey for the show, and most of these were costumes that I pulled out of my own costume wardrobe, with a couple of new pieces made specifically for this show.
