After years of collecting art with her husband, Sandy worked with designer Chantal Lamberto to rethink their family home around their collection, repurposing rooms and creating a sense of continuity throughout.
Richly painted walls, Moroccan tile, Murano glass, vintage textiles, and unexpected flea-market finds give the historic house a distinctly eclectic character.
Sandy, who is a painter herself, also shares how her own work and her interest in California’s artistic traditions have influenced the way she lives with art.
Throughout the house, sentimental pieces—from her grandmother’s quilt chair to artwork exchanged as birthday and anniversary gifts—sit alongside things they’ve discovered on their travels.
