I'm reading through the Top 125 Books written in English, a consensus list made up of Top 100 lists from The Observer, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Time Magazine, Le Monde, and The Modern Library.

For more about the list of 125 books, watch my Intro video: youtube.com/watch?v=wje118vWzuI

An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro made the list because it was ranked #94 by the Guardian and #91 by the Observer. It was shortlisted for the Man Booker in 1986. And I totally get it because this book was faaaaantastic.

For my next Top 125 book, I’ll be reading Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey.

If you have any thoughts about that, let me know in the comments.

And more especially, if you have any thoughts about Kazuo Ishiguro or An Artist of the Floating World, I’d love to hear them.
