You never know what you'll run into when you're out exploring the ocean. While on mission off the coast of Norway, we were actually searching for bluefin tuna when something huge crossed OceanXplorer's path: a pod of fin whales. They're some of the largest animals on the planet, so it was incredible to see them up close. Their presence also gave us an indication that we were in a very productive area, which made sense because we noticed some ocean currents intersecting nearby.
