The round clumps in horse manure are very persistent and don't break down easily in compost. Could we convert them into biochar turning one form of carbon into another form of carbon? Biochar is a soil amendment that will increase the tilth of the soil, it will sequester carbon in the soil, and it may or may not favorably affect plant growth.
