Ah lord here we go again :)
I literally only found out about this anime yesterday and I watched all the aired episodes today in one go... We all know I'm weak for sad magical girls and damn are they cute. And sad. But we been knew.
I didn't expect to edit anything (let alone a whole project) today but I immediately thought of this song while watching that episode and Shelter is just literally SUCH a masterpiece of a song that I had to do this. It's not great but it'll do. I just wanted to make this happen, not necessarily make it good as well, that was a bit much to hope for. Sweet angel, I hope you'll come back in the next episodes :'))

OKAY BUT STORYTIME IN CASE ITS NOT OBVIOUS ENOUGH;;
Basically James died during one of their attempts to capture Pikachu. The first kiss of the prompt happened in James last waking moments during lost confessions before he took his last breath. As a result to the trauma of losing her best friend right in front of her eyes, Jessie starts having nightmares about his death and has problems with falling back into daily life. At some points she remembers their promise to meet in the afterlife that they gave each other in Sinnoh which gives her a bit of hope. Her nightmares turn into dreams where she is with James and Meowth again just like in old times. She starts escaping reality in her dreams but deep down she knows that she cant run away forever so she decides to move on to enjoy her life for James sake too and because she knows that is really what he would want for her.

Okay so this is an entirely platonic edit of a platonic ship of mine, if you like them romantically or whatever its super chill, but please keep in mind that those were not my intentions with this so it would be great if you could appreciate this as a friendship edit too!!
But man these two are so incredibly pure and precious and their beautiful art gives me life and I just feel so blessed.
I havent had this much fun editing just about anything for ages and I enjoyed making this so so much, you guys have no idea! Almost like I appreciate editing again for once?

Im in the middle of my exams phew, both my German and English ones went pretty well and the next one is math on Wednesday, phew pray for me??
I got lucky and my two oral exams will be at the end of May so I still got time to study for those, thank god, Im usually not really a lucky person, but this saves my life?
So yeah thats kinda it, I actually managed to finish all my parts that were due before June so good job me I guess?

Okay so do you see that black border I put in the second half of the part? Do you see it? Because you almost didnt because SV absolutely REFUSED to render it in the full thing for some reason?? I literally had to mask away the border in pan/crop because nothing else worked, not even the cookie cutter, what the actual fuck sv;;
Aaaaanyways on to more fun topics: I made my first liveaction edit? And the first raw edit of this challenge? Much wow! And I actually dont hate it? Like I even almost liked it before SV got so frustrating with it... Honestly raw isnt really my strength, but somehow liveaction scenes just flow so much more smoothly? Or maybe that was just all those fighting scenes, idk man.
But hell yes I was able to edit Loki? Confirmed genderfluid child? Like man I never even expected I would DO liveaction, but maybe I can sneak some edits in because I honestly enjoyed it so much? And Loki deserves all the love and so do all the Marvel characters actually and aohdkosgko this is a small step for humanity, but a big step for me because holy shit this is so fun.
I tried to colour the scenes in the pride flag colours, but except for the pink at the beginning you cant really see it? Gdi.

Does anyone still remember this? I started this at the end of 2018 and kinda abandoned it since then whoops- Tbh Im not really invested in DR anymore but I was really feeling the vibe of this song so I finished the rest of it in one go. Im not even sure you can see a difference between the two halves because my lazy editing never really changed with time, BUT its done now! I would have felt bad for the effort past me put into this if I didnt tbh. Its not good or anything but I had fun and thats worth something too I guess!!
