I had the idea to pair this song with link click for several months, and it took a deadline for an IC for me to actually start it! I didn't meet the deadline for the IC lol but a month later and here it is! Also finished it in celebration/a good bye to Link Click Season 2 and the angst we have to live with until Season 3.

The song is a special one. It was originally by Jolin Tsai who wrote it to pay tribute to a boy who was bullied for being too effeminate and was found lying dead in the school bathroom, in a pool of blood. It's such an empowering song and the lyrics are chefs kiss.

I had heard Mayday's cover of it before the original actually, and I was imagining scenes of link click to it. I looked into the lyrics more and realised that it could fit really well! I interpreted the lyrics as matching the ways in which CXS (main character with black hair) switches into different bodies in the past, and wishes to save the people he occupies. That level of empathy is so clear in the lyrics of the song. The video is all about CXS's well wishes and love for the people he connects with, and his own self-sacrifices along the way. As the lyrics suggest, even the most beautiful of roses has thorns - like how CXS's empathy and desire to save everyone has a cost.

The thumbnail also pays homage to Mayday's album cover for their cover. :)

Im also so excited that I edited Scumbag System, at first the donghua doesnt seem good for editing, but there are some amazing scenes in there. I also really loved watching it and felt it kept the spirit of SVSSS, despite the budget, so will happily give it free advertising. Im in love with Amys parts, honestly theyre so so gorgeous and I couldnt have asked for better transitions too. The video is straight forward, and follows the four characters through their struggles and trials. It was really fun seeing how things were turning out, and changing things to match each others dynamics. I havent watched QianQiu but now Im definitely interested in watching it thanks to Amys parts. (made this in a couple of days - its really a simple edit!) Im happy with the way it turned out though ^^ Somehow I made a connection between this song and the manga. I dunno how, but luckily the lyrics match the story I was going for in a way :D So it turned out ok~ (see annotations for lyrics) Speaking of, please DONT MENTION THE SONG (or ill delete your comment) because its copyrighted ... If you love mangas with a romance, slice of life, coming of age genre, great character development, CHARACTERS, and pacing - youll love this manga :D !! Now to drown myself in a search to find more shoujos that can impact me in the same way as this one orz (good thing its xmas holidays) Story: HnR is about a country girl who moves to Tokyo, she encounters a weird guy at the station who helps her out - and it turns out the guy is her homeroom teacher in her new school. The MMV follows this basic idea: their encounter, which lead to their eventual relationship, which sensei was initially reluctant to let himself fall into. At the end ill never say goodbye, i chose a bittersweet scan (omg that scene ; ;) even though Suzume (the girl) is walking away from him and the relationship they had in person, she will always hold onto the feelings she had at that time. My message is that shes going to do this literally. (After being conflicted for days, Ive decided Im hoping for a SuzumeXSensei eventual ending!!) $[IS] I, Ciel Phantomhive {Kuroshitsuji AMV} Long time no Kuro amv :D So I joined the ST IC this year, once again. I was so thrilled to see a song in there that Ive been meaning to pair with Kuro for a year now, ever since Book of the Atlantic came out. And since that also came out, it also meant that I should do another Kuro video too. (obviously :D) The idea that I had, was based on the recent manga arcs. Manga readers will also recognise some of the quotes :) I hope its clear. Basically, Ciel in the video is an imposter, and takes the name of original Ciel. Eventually, he gets found out, Lizzy and Madame Red are betrayed. He taken away and locked up. Despite this, Sebastian breaks them out in the end, and theyre on the run. I realise now that the story of this video is shockingly similar to the current manga events.. Lol. I also played around with AE a bit (made some adjustments for this final version though, and added more text), and I realise now how easy things are to do in AE (i know you AE editor peoples techniques noww).
