This year I celebrate 20 years of editing AMVs. That's right! I edit AMVs since 2001 and this is my way to celebrate it. I composed my major releases and AMVs into one nostalgic supercut. This even includes some of my very first AMVs. So far probably only Mac has seen those videos and no other person up to date.

I wanted to show you those videos as they were: Low quality, full of mistakes. That's how they were and I want to send a message out: I was a noob and did every possible mistake you can imagine, however I managed to come out good with my AMVs and so can you! Don't give up. Don't be afraid to get help and never stop believing. It took me 3 years to put out something remotely acceptable, because Mac and I thought us everything we know on our own first. That's okay at the era of 2001 internet, but don't repeat this today. Get in touch with AMV editors. Make friends. Have fun!

Thank you to everyone who is and was supporting me in various ways. This means a lot to me. This hobby means so much to me. It defined me to who I am and how I stand in the world. I can't imagine what would've happend without it. Almost every friend I know is somehow tied to this. So much wouldn't have happend without AMVs. Let AMVs live on forever! Let me be clear as well: This is no Goodbye. I don't quit.

Technical notes:

For me it was important to not alter the footage too much. I only changed it up with hard cuts and some fades to make it work better. I wanted to preserve original edits and effects, because that's how things were. There are no changes in speed. You can basically recreate this on your own with my videos. I hope I can spark some memories for you :)

I kept lossless encodes since 2007. That makes the video quality look good. Some scenes got cleaned up using AI upscaling "Cupscale".
