I took part in Love Mail's Secret Santa event and it was so much fun editing this - this is for Vale! I'm excited to edit for her because she's been one of my biggest fx and typography inspirations this year and it's such a pleasure editing with her in @LoveMaiil

Thank you for the long playlist and pretty anime/ships google doc, it was so detailed and more choice than I could have expected haha. I have to say you have great taste though. xD
I was so tempted to edit Given for you but we both edited it so recently lol and I realised I'd never edited Sasaki and Miyano yet even though I loved this series when I eventually caught up. They're so precious. I listened to random songs on your playlist and loved this one by Troye Sivan from the first listen and knew it was perfect for Sasaki's POV. They'd happily just sit together and talk and be with each other XD But I POV switched to Miyano as well because it's mutual feelings all the way.
I tried some new things with fx and typography and I hope it turned out okay. I also tried to go for orange and blue colours but then other colours came in, hopefully it doesn't look too clashy. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your editing for Love Mail next year!

Happy Birthday Amy!
Im so proud of myself, I finished this on the 14th and have put this up to premiere on the day.
This video was such a blast to edit, and Im so happy with the result.
This video idea has its origins from lockdown 2020, when Nathan Wagner released this gorgeous song. It took me a bit to connect it with How To Train Your Dragon, but back then Id never edited a full TRILOGY movie video and the thought of that was overwhelming.
Amy had also tried to edit it but we werent feeling it at the time. Id also asked if I could edit it instead, and Id brain noted the idea ever since. I couldnt forget such a perfect match.
I started re-watching the trilogy about four weeks ago, made notes of all the moments and quotes on my phone and started editing on Premiere. Phone notes are so useful~
I worked on this slowly since then. Also re-watching the movies gave me the tears and feels and it reminded me how much I love Hiccup and Toothless. T T Editing this slowly and mindfully reminded me how much I love editing too, sometimes I think about how much I appreciate having this hobby and being able to express my love for a show/series.
All in all I loved re-watching, re-appreciating and editing this trilogy video. It doesnt make complete narrative sense but there are enough videos out there that go through chronology haha. The last part of the video can be up to interpretation.. its either a memory of the past or embracing his dragon soul and becoming one with dragons. I like considering the latter as a fan-made ending :D
To Amy, I hope you enjoy this surprise as much as I enjoyed making it!! And I hope you have a great day (and start all the books I recommended ) ~

Finally can upload this!
So back in November, I finished Nier;Automata - and I was really blown away - I had to make a video.
I really thought this song was a natural fit for the game, and I pretty much followed the lyrics. The theme for the video is basically about fighting to the bitter end, even despite the consequences and the morals of your actions.
Or something like that, I dont even remember anymore LOL
I had the honour of winning Best Frisson at the Yukicon AMV contest in Finland as well, it was Ileiaamv;s special award, so its double the honour. :) Frisson refers to thrill, and how the song, and editing fits well, and Im happy everyone thought it was a good fit!
