Amtrak's newest train, The Borealis, is proving to be a HUGE success, and rating some rare power on it! While the 'normal' power on it is a set pf P42s, rare B32-8WHs, and freshly repainted Phase VII units are making regular appearances.
We'll chase a number of Borealis's from Saint Paul Union Depot, down to Red Wing, and then back up towards Union Depot. Along the way, we'll see it in places such as Hastings, Saint Paul, Frontenac, Red Wing, and many other locations. The rare B32-8WH, also known as the P32-8BWH, B32-8WH, or P32-8, make a number of appearances. This is the first time in years that this has happened, and they looked GOOD! We'll also see freshly repainted P42s in the new Phase VII scheme. To top it all off, Amtrak 160 The 'Pepsi Can' Heritage Unit, also makes a number of appearances as well. This train is proving to be a HUGE success with ridership just break a staggering 100, 000 people so far this year alone!
