My buddy Kevin Heider and myself boarded a train to see what we could come up with in a 24-hour period. This was the result.
This video was inspired by the Amtrak Writer's Residency Program that began on Twitter a few months ago. I thought it'd be cool if they expanded the scope of the program to include more than just traditional literary writers. After a few weeks of suggesting to @Amtrak that they sponsor me going on a train ride, and not hearing anything from them, I decided I'd do it on my own. A train ride sounded fun, and I've been trying to work on more creative projects lately anyway, so it seemed like a good idea. Kevin was on board ("Ha ha, very funny, Matt...") with the idea, so we decided to make it happen.
The song on the video was written by Kevin in one day while we rode the train, and recorded that night after we got back to the train station. Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I do.
