Here are news videos from Des Moines television stations on the crash and derailment of Amtrak's California Zephyr passenger train in Russell Iowa on Oct. 12, 1987. The train was EB on the Burlington Northern tracks when it was accidentally switched to a side track containing maintenance equipment.
