An Amtrak train that recently passed by southbound on track #3 at Halethorpe is causing the indication on the milepost 103.1 intermediate signal on the express track #2 to bob between Clear and Approach. This is most likely due to traction current draw affecting the track circuit relays or cab signal code generation system. While the signal system is careful to avoid false proceed indications, infrequent conditions that drop signals can be difficult to resolve and can left to persist for years as they do not present a safety issue.
