On the rainy morning of January 1, 2022, Amtrak's northbound "Auto Train" is seen crossing Powells Creek at Woodbridge, Virginia with a pair of GE P40DC locomotives leading the notoriously lengthy train. This was filmed just after sunrise and was the first train of many that I witnessed across Virginia on New Year's Day 2022. The Auto Train has long been one of my favorites to photograph! It's an impressive sight to behold.
