🕹️ New Amstrad Game! 🕹️
At last!! Its TOKI night on the Amstream!! Amstrad fans have waited many many years for a conversion of Toki. Originally Ocean Software promised an official release of the arcade coin-op for the Amstrad GX4000 console of all things believe it or not, and the story goes that the 1st level was complete but it was going to require a higher capacity cartridge to fit the full game in, so Ocean cancelled the project. Thankfully many years later the amazing Amstrad GGP team have stepped in and produced their own version! And after we exclusively demoed the 1st level way back in December 2019 on the Amstream, the finished game is finally here!! And tonight we at last get to play through the whole thing and I cannot wait!! Tonight we go ape with TOKI!! 🐵 Can I beat the game tonight? Lets find out....

🏆 CPCRetroDev 2022 Game Creation Contest 🏆
⭐️ The Results & The Winners! ⭐️
🕹️ & Playthrough Of All The Games! 🕹️
The CPCRetroDev results day is here and tonight we will be looking at the winners and playing through all 36 games! And as usual, theres some really brilliant games this year!!
CPCRetroDev 2022 is the 10th edition of the Amstrad CPC game creation contest ran by the University of Alicante, where students there will be entering their own games but its also open to anyone who wants to make a new Amstrad game in 64k of memory! And theres nearly 3000€ in prizes available, so the competition will be hot!!
Tonight we will be playing all the games in descending order from the winner to the game in last place. The results will be announced via their own stream earlier in the evening, which I am a judge on (judging Graphics and Artistic Quality)!
In previous years we had games like The Abduction Of Oscar Z, Babas Palace, Shovel Adventure, Operation Alexandra, Timothy Gunn, and more! What will this year bring?? Lets all find out!!

The CPCRetroDev results day is here and tonight we will be looking at the results and playing through all 36 games! And as usual, theres some real crackers here!!
CPCRetroDev 2021 is the 9th edition of the Amstrad CPC game creation contest ran by the University of Alicante, where students there will be entering their own games but its also open to anyone who wants to make a new Amstrad game in 64k of memory! And theres more than 2400€ in prizes available, so the competition will be hot!!
Tonight we will be playing all the games in descending order from the winner to the game in last place. The results will be announced via their own stream earlier in the evening, which I am a judge on (judging Enjoyment and Playability)!
In previous years we had games like The Abduction Of Oscar Z, Babas Palace, Outlaws, Operation Alexandra, Timothy Gunn, Jarlac, and more! What will this year bring?? Lets all find out!!

It looks like its near perfect if not better with new modes, and it of course retains the split screen two player option! 🎵 Amstrad CPC MUSIC Special! 🎵
For the first time on the Amstream were at last dedicating a whole stream and night to music created on the Amstrad CPC! Its about damn time too! That little AY chip can pull off wonders! And its not celebrated enough, unlike the SID chip getting all the plaudits - the AY can often hold its own and were going to actually show that tonight!
Because not only are we going to be playing the very best music on the Amstrad (along with the actual games so you have something to watch!) and trying to find which were the best tunes, but weve also got some exclusive music you wont have heard before...
Scene legend Epyteor (aka Jonah) has converted a whole bunch of C64 and also Amiga tunes onto two specially created disks for the Amstrad, featuring a music player hes called the AMSAMP! Which well be debuting tonight and heavily using alongside equivalent Amstrad gameplay footage (if they were imported in eventually)! Oh and for a bit of fun later on in the stream, well have a music quiz for everyone in the stream to join in with where you have to guess the tune and name the game with a live leaderboard!

Next up on our Amstrad CPC Hidden Gems, as chosen and voted for by the Amstream community - is a game which had one of the most unanimous polls when it came to voting whether it was indeed a hidden gem or not. With a whopping 93% of the vote in favour... Psyborg! From Loriciels, released in 1992 - quite late in the Amstrads commercial life and probably why its been overlooked a bit. A 3D vector graphic first-person space racing game, like a futuristic virtual reality bobsleigh - that finds you furiously navigating dangerous courses that rotate around your space craft at high speed! On a very special Amstream for me, Xyphoes Nightmare will be unveiled and revealed in all its glory for the first time!! And it will be the first time even myself has seen it running!! So youll be able to see my very first reaction to it live tonight!!
Written by Phil YellowBelly Sandiford (who did Bugs Quest before this one), its an intense score attack platform game against the clock to score as high as you can. Control poor old me in my nightmare where its my mission to get rid of all the Bridge-It tapes whilst avoiding the pumpkins from Cauldron II, crazy Commodore 64s, demented Dizzys and my own missus chucking berserk brussels sprouts at me! I also wrote the music on the game!
Released first exclusively to ANTSTREAM ARCADE retro gaming streaming service (http://www.antstream.com) on TUESDAY 8TH FEBRUARY! The first ever homebrew game written and designed specifically for Antstream, to take advantage of their challenges, tournaments and global high score boards!
Amstrad CPC version for use on real hardware and emulators coming in MAY 2022 (exact date to be confirmed) as an enhanced version with extra content, features and modes!
PLUS!! YellowBelly and also Girlafraid Gemma will be join us live on camera to talk about the making of the game and playtesting!!!

Its not often I get to do a short news video, but when its about VESPERTINO - the most hotly anticipated new Amstrad game, of course Ill be on the case! And after waiting over 3 very long years, at last the first new footage of the game running has emerged! Unfortunately due to a little bit of drama in the scene ironically (with Batman Group being forced to produce this) its resulted in us being able to see more than a few seconds of stable footage of the game! You can see it being assembled live in the WinApe emulator which may quieten a few doubters! Plus we can happily end the video on some really exciting news.......!! 😍

Last week was the 11th edition of the CPCRetroDev - the Amstrad CPC game creation contest, with loads of awesome new games created! Also, on last weeks Amstream we played through all 30 games but it didnt leave much time for each game, so this week were dedicating tonights Amstream to the winners and top 3 games!
First up is the winner and 1st place game Alloy Box from CNGSoft! Taking inspiration from Metal Gear and its stealth, which is soon abandoned in favour of a frantic run n gun and fight for survival! Gorgeous graphics, thumping music and fast paced action - can I make it to the end?
Next is 2nd placed game Sugar City from Voxel Tower, and its Grand Theft Auto on the Amstrad!! Become a crime boss and take on rival gangs through various crazy missions in a living breathing city, can you rise to the top? Im going to attempt to become the kingpin tonight!
Lastly in 3rd place is Paulinas Potions from LeoSoft, a magical platforming adventure staring a friendly witch! Who is gathering ingredients for her various potions, that when used will allow her to reach new areas in her quest to buy the last ever produced CPC 464! Im going to attempt to complete that quest tonight after earlier attempts this week on Twitch!
Three new awesome Amstrad games to live longplay tonight! Tune in to see if I can do it! If I do before the end of the stream then well have a look through some other great CPCRetroDev games!
