So Milan sacked everybody. The manager, the sporting director, the technical director, the chief executive. They hired Ruben Amorim. And they went and spent about €155 million... without selling a single player. Gazzetta dello Sport reckon it's the first time in over 20 years the club has reached August 6th without making one sale.
In this one I'm looking at what Milan are ACTUALLY building. Where the money has gone, including a club-record fee for Gonçalo Ramos. Who's really making the phone calls now that there's no sporting director — and what Tuttosport wrote about Jorge Mendes. The striker curse that's cost them €169m since 2017. And the Rafael Leao situation, which has gone from a €175m release clause to a €40m fire sale that nobody wants.
Plus the other side of it, because I don't think this is doom — Amorim's actual record, that 4-2 in Wrocław, and a €10m kid from Serie B forcing his way in.
