Didn't know those were what speed I wanted to move at during the "action" scenes (enemies are slower/faster too, ofc). When I was rowing my boat and later running around on the other levels, I was like "man, they fucked this up, TOO fast, IMO" (I was OK with the enemies' move speed tho). Then when the game was over and I wanted to see what would happen if I picked another animal, I noticed it was the speed. Turtle is the more "natural" one, so will use that in the French version.
00:34 - "Once upon a time in London..."
00:44 - It's always in the middle drawer, but clicked on all other things first that had a reaction.
03:15 - They can be clicked on in any order.
04:52 - This loops 6 times for some reason (wasn't loading). Was thinking of editing out 4 of them or something, but kept it as maybe it has some sort of significance to the movie. I know Hook is afraid of clocks, maybe 6 o'clock is extra bad or something, dunno.
05:34 - Where you and the enemies spawn are random. This caused me to insta-die here, LOL.
Losing all lives on any level just resets it so you get all lives back, but only once. Next time you lose all lives, it's the same as if you completed them normally, except on the last one (the ship) where the girl is crying instead (same screen as 05:27), then the flying boat and "Ende" ("The End", ofc) as normal.
Some screens with the green border/frame has an empty vertical line of pixels on the left side of the screen for some reason. Not a cropping error.
The differences between the German and French versions are the languages (ofc) and the title tunes. Also, the one and only French version I could find had a crack intro thingy and stuff. Couldn't find a clean version like the German one (.ipf, unmodified). The cursor in the French version was a weird looking red arrow, which looks the same in-game as in AmigaDOS, so I replaced it with the one from the German version.

Each time you play Winnie the Pooh in the Hundred Acre Wood, you play a different game. Thats because each time you have to find a different group of 10 objects. Each object belongs to a particular character, or in a specific place.
Im a grown-ass man and still found this game fun to play, mainly because it was easy :)")

After my pretty hard Blocky Skies longplay where I had to use my poor brain to remember stuff, I felt like doing something a bit easier, so did this McGee series :P
Anyway, heres a quote from MobyGames of what this game is about:
McGee is an educational game for young children (ages 2 to 6). The game is entirely wordless and tells its story through graphics and sound making it possible for the child to play the game without help from an adult. The idea is that the child in this way should become familiar and confident with the computer and grow a sense of discovery.
In the game the player takes control of a child protagonist called McGee and gets to explore his home. The house consists of a couple of rooms and in each room there are a few objects that can be interacted with. All interaction is done by clicking on the four different icons that appear in each room. When doing so a short animation will start and McGee will do something, for example play with a ball, take a bath or hide under the carpet. There is no specific objective to the game and the player can move around freely between the rooms and interact with things over and over again.

Much better than the first one in the series, but way harder and more frustrating. Too many things had to be timed perfectly. If you did it like 1 second too early, or 1 second too late, you had to redo a lot of previous steps to get back to where you were on the screen.
For faster loading, I used the WHDLoad version, and an instrument in the music on the water level (the one with the octopus and mermaid) is broken. Just basic A1200 settings in the emulator with 2mb chip and 8mb fast ram, also cycle-exact, so shouldnt be a settings issue.")

There are two version of this game - Abracadabra and Baba Yaga. Theres a lot of differences between them, like graphics, creatures, fonts, items, etc, but are mainly the same game.
In Abracadabra its winter and you are delivered by a dragon. The evil dude of this version is Satanicus, the horrible magician.
In Baba Yaga its summer and you are delivered by a stork instead, and the evil person is Baba Yaga, the wicked witch of the swamp.
I guess they both cater to different audiences. In Slavic myths, Baba Yaga is the wild woman or dark lady of magic, she has chicken legs. There are many stories about her in Russian folklore.
You have no control over the text/dialogues most of the time, so you have to wait for the next one. In some places the scene fades out at the same second the last text is shown, so cant be read unless you pause. Sometimes its a bit too fast. Anyway, its not me clicking or anything, just so you know :)
The graphics glitch at 02:24 wouldnt go away.
When selecting the look of our hero, the two left-most portraits look female (Im sure they are, or at least the one to the farthest left). So, I decided to be male (Adam) in abracadabra, and female (Eve) in Baba Yaga, but turns out the game doesnt know this and still call her he/him in the dialogues, even if I select the first one from the left.
If you dont select a head, clothing or name in time, the game does it for you, and you get the default colors and the left-most head, and are given the name of Nemo.
I cant help to laugh at the German voice during the animal names part :)
One thing that is kinda fucked-up is the baby is delivered to those poor woodcutters. They are POOR! The last thing they need is another mouth to feed, IMO.
Most of the time you find the item after the 4th try, EVEN if you click on the SAME thing all those times, lol. The dungeon scene is different and will pop the item after the 7th different thing youve clicked on.
In Baba Yaga I played on hardest difficulty (and was the first of the two games I played through). the difficulty is too high and Im sure they didnt play-test it. Because of this, I played Abracadabra on easy.
When you die you are just moved one screen/scene back.
After the ending, I right click to bring up the menu and select to return to the menu, then to get dropped at the castle instead. After the first room has been completed, I bring up options again in the next scene and quit, because from her on out, its the same as the previous journey via the woodcutters.")

An excellent port of the arcade version, released 2019.
Bit glitchy tho. Tried the latest version (ofc) on both WHDLoad and ADF, with the basic A1200 quickstart config and modified one. Usually when graphic errors etc happens in a game, it might need cycle-exact to be ON, but in this game that just made it worse. I checked some recordings of this game on YouTube to see how it looked like in their videos, and they had the same glitches and graphic corruptions as I did. Ive manually removed most of those frames (1-3 here and there, so the jump/hiccup shouldnt be too noticeable).
So, nothing game-breaking, except if you jump off the rope too far up when you yet cant see the ground, that will stop the vertical scrolling and when you land, you might only see your head for the rest of the level, thus cant see the ground or enemies.
Only real complaint I would have, or more of a request, would be to start loading the next stage during the score counting part. As its right now, it doesnt start loading the next stage until all scores are done counting, making you have to wait there a while before the game continues. Sure, no problem if playing the game from a harddrive (WHDLoad), but I prefer floppy when I play and record, as I often get problems when using savestates with WHDLoad. I did use Turbo and 800% speed, but neither make it fast enough. Maybe 30% or so of the movie is just waiting for it to load the next stage. Normally I edit loading out, but theres music playing during it so didnt want to.
As always, I dont care about score in games, which shows :). Jump and bounce to victory!
I killed myself on the boss level as I dont think I showed the death animation thingy before + wanted to make it more of a challenge as I lose all my buffs/items. Was still super easy, especially the boss, lol.
The items are as follows, from left to right:
1: Star Power (Increases the weapons range to nearly the length of the whole screen)
2: Crown Power (Increases the weapons fire power, letting you kill several enemies with a single shot)
3: Tiger Power (Lets you kill any enemy instantly by jumping on it)
4: Cross Power (Limited invincibility lasting 10 - 45 seconds depending on the round. If you collect a second Cross Power and the first hasnt expired, extra invincibility time isnt added on nor do you score another bonus)
5: Sun Power (Allows greater control over vertical firing)
Theres also cheat codes and special codes for secret messages. I usually record and put those in a separate unlisted video (the messages that is, as I dont show cheat codes if they are not special enough) and link here. Might do it later and update this text.
Anyway, they did a killer job on this port.

You can play as either Santa or Rudolph. They both play exactly the same, as far as I could tell, and the only difference is the levels are the same when playing as Rudolph but in a new order and have new names.
I checked a couple of videos of this game before longplaying it, and one person said he prefers Rudolph as he handles better. Lol? Again, to me they were exactly the same. Another one said he replayed the game as Rudolph as hes already done a longplay with Santa, but ye, same levels, just new order and names, so IMO doesnt warrant a new longplay. Not much else to see if already done with one of them, except maybe the few frames of animation with the other character.")
