Amiga Love | Amiga BBSing like it's 1989: 64Door @AmigaLove | Uploaded November 2017 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Amiga computers can connect to BBSes run off of 8-bit C= machines flawlessly using a terminal program called 64Door. This renders PETSCII perfectly pixel for pixel.
In this video, I demonstrate how an Amiga running WB 1.3 can actually run 64Door off of the hard drive. Prior to this discovery I (and many others) believed it could only be booted off DF0:. It turns out it absolutely can be used via hard drive, and is (in my opinion) a total joy to use.
In the video I launch the program and connect to two of my favorite BBSes, which are still actively developed, supported and used by several members in the retro-computing community.
