I was a white supremacist...I spent 44 years inside a white supremacist worldview. In this video, I share my personal story, examine the rise of Confederate nostalgia and racial resentment in America, and explore how racism spreads through families, churches, media, and culture. Most importantly, I discuss what we can do to help the next generation see a different picture.
Today, I want to talk about America's growing Confederate nostalgia, why white supremacy feels more visible than it has in decades, and what we can do to help the next generation see a different future.
This isn't a lecture. It's a confession, a warning, and a conversation.
What do you think? Is America becoming more tolerant—or less?
