I was in Nashville recently and went to the American Pickers store and found this old Sunoco oil jar. I found out that they picked a bunch of these jars on Episode 22. While this one did not appear on TV, I am going to assume it was with the batch that did! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I built this display case for it and it turned out great. Old wormy chestnut reclaimed barn wood. No fancy joinery or anything because I wanted it to be something that you just can't decide if it is elegant or just cobbled together. The little touches are meant to confuse the brain in trying to decide if it is classy or redneck......
