I lived in Houston, Texas for almost ten years, and would go to the archives section of Houston's downtown library to review old maps. One map from the early 1800s showed a Native American campsite within present day Houston, that formed around a natural spring. I was able to locate the area, and sure enough there was modern drainage constructed over the spring (I assume to help prevent flooding). I was able to find some exposed ground and just started digging. I uncovered the following two stones. I believe they are scrapers, or another form of Native American tool.
