A year ago, I took you on a garden tour of Jefferson’s incredible tropical food garden in Vietnam—built from the ground up using sustainable and regenerative practices. Now, I’m back to see what’s changed, what’s thriving, and to learn new insights from Jefferson’s gardening philosophy!
In this update, we explore how his banana, citrus, and Vietnamese herbs have grown over the past year, as well as the sustainable and regenerative gardening methods he’s using to improve soil health. Jefferson shares his approach to organic gardening, including the use of worm castings (vermicomposting) to enrich the soil. We also discuss the challenges and rewards of urban gardening in Saigon’s tropical climate and how he adapts to the ever-changing conditions.
