This is one of the finest examples of freight locomotives within all of the United States. Thanks to the Japanese, the Americans designed from Baldwin Locomotive Works the 2-8-2 Mikado type locomotive. Here we see examples from the Baltimore and Ohio, New York Central, Union Pacific, and at the end there are a back-to-back K-37 locomotives from the Rio Grande Southern (the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad branch).
