The first deportation flight to Haiti since the Trump administration ended humanitarian protections landed on Aug. 20, and activists say immigration arrests are beginning to ramp up.
Many of the passengers had been detained by ICE in the last three weeks, and at least one had recently lost temporary protected status, according to Guerline Jozef of the Haitian Bridge Alliance.
