America is losing its hunters.
The number of Americans who hunt has been declining for decades, and that trend raises questions that go far beyond hunting itself. What happens to conservation when fewer people hunt? The 2022 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife-Associated Recreation recorded 14.4 million hunters age 16 and older.
