The best thing about the semiconductor space is the amazing hardware that companies are dreaming of - especially now with chiplets. In this short video from SC23, we came across a quad-socket MI300A system at GIGABYTE's booth - showcasing MI300A is a socketed APU and can support 4 sockets! This is the HPC version, with the MI300X for machine learning. Both the MI300A and MI300X are due to be launched on December 6th, so this is a fun little preview.
In this video, Doug O'Laughlin from Fabricated Knowledge comes by and we chat about AMD and NVIDIA in the ML space.
