I've always loved this soundscape from the original Quake. Sometimes I've started up the game just to sit in place and listen to this noise for a while. I have recorded a long sample and extended it so that I can listen to this amorphous watery swamp noise as long as I wish.

This is some deeply sheepy pink noise! Great for getting to sleep, masking out sounds in your local environment, concentrating on your studies, meditating, relaxing after a long day, or getting the little ones to bed.
The video is a 12 hour screen recording I made a couple of nights ago with absolutely no loops or cuts. Let me know if you recognize where the visual effect is from. Im pretty curious if anyone will figure it out this time.

Here we have lovely pink lotus noise. This noise has a center channel to focus your attention upon as well as a stereo layer to surround you entirely. The juxtaposition of stereo + mono noise makes me think of how a flower unfurls, hence the name, lotus noise.
The sound works best on headphones, but if you have suitable speakers it can work well on those too ( just dont play it too loud! ).
If you are on Linux ( or a similar operating system ) and have Sox installed, you can replicate this sound yourself by running the following commands:
play -c 2 -n synth pinknoise lowpass -1 480 highpass -1 100
as well as the following in seperate terminal:
play -c 1 -n synth pinknoise lowpass -1 480 highpass -1 100
