This piece is born from the tension of cross feelings—those moments when emotions clash and coexist, when joy and sorrow, hope and doubt, love and resistance occupy the same space within us. It's a state of emotional duality, where contrasting energies pull in opposite directions, yet somehow, they belong together.
In the music, I layer opposing sonic landscapes that fold into each other, forming a single shape—a living paradox. These textures breathe together, like the push and pull of daily life, like light and shadow sharing the same canvas. They are the rhythm of my every day, the quiet storm beneath the surface.
At the heart of the sound is the Korg Wavestation, a synthesizer whose '90s timbre holds a haunting nostalgia I deeply cherish. Its waves shimmer with memory, echoing past emotions that still find resonance in the present. This instrument became my palette for expressing complexity, for painting emotion not in black and white, but in layered hues of feeling.
