spark has been branching out in style in recent times, and "amberette" continues that trend. The block designs are neat, but it's the simple effects that catches your eyes. While the effects aren't particularly original, the execution is what makes them work well. The part at 1:34, for example, relies on parallax which has been done a lot. Still, I find the part to be quite fresh because of its unique structuring and movement that really compliment and highlight the parallax effect. I do wish there was a little more variety and originality in the effects used, though, as parallax is used for multiple parts and some effects are weaker. It's also worth mentioning the colors of the entire level, which is a nice beige mixed with black. These colors aren't seen too much and are used really well here, giving the whole level an interesting look.
The level is over 2 minutes long, but each part can be done in close to one attempt on their own. One of the benefits of the contrasting colors is that it's easy to distinguish obstacles and, as a result, sight-read the level. There are a couple of quick orbs and transitions that are worth practicing a little, though, especially in the earlier cube parts. Overall, it should be an Easy Demon in difficulty. With the quality of the visuals and gameplay in mind, I think it deserves an Epic rating.
