The first one did not play.. I really hope this one works out because if the T-1000 is coming for you, he might as well leap off the screen in 3D..
Fun Fact: Terminator 2: Judgment Day was filmed in Los Angeles between October 1990 and March 1991 using ARRIFLEX 35 BL4 cameras, Cooke Varotal lenses, and Zeiss Super Speed lenses. The film was restored in 4K and then converted to 3D using a process called stereo conversion. This process involved over 1,400 artists working for over a year.
The 3D conversion was done by Stereo D, a conversion house, in collaboration with a team at Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment. Cameron believes the movie lends itself to a 3D conversion because of the way it was shot.
There was also a 3D theme park attraction called T2-3D: Battle Across Time at Universal Studios Florida. The attraction opened in 1996 and closed in 2017. It combined live actors, audio animatronics, 3D film footage, and practical effects.
T2 3-D: Battle Across Time was a 3D film and theme park attraction at Universal Studios. The film was shot on 70mm film using a custom 3D camera that recorded two separate film strips for the left and right eyes. The two strips were then projected separately to create a 3D view for the viewer.
The attraction was developed in the early 1990s. It opened at Universal Orlando in 1996 and was later announced for Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Japan.
The attraction featured a mix of live action, 3D film, and pyrotechnics. It also included a seat drop effect, simulated assault weapons, and a blending of live action and film.
The cast and crew from the first two Terminator films returned for the shoot, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Robert Patrick, and Edward Furlong.
