Amazon just made the announcement to buy Whole Foods for $13,7bn which is a huge deal for the worldwide economy and moreso for the retail players and really, all of us.
The reason that amazon bought whole foods I believe really comes down to the fact that they want a distribution play and wanted the amazing real estate that Whole Foods owned, which is really interesting.
Also it’s going to be fascinating to see these big players evolve along-side the worldwide economy and see how innovation and technology will disrupt more industries in the future. I’m looking forward to it haha.
