There is growth in the way that we can communicate with technology, we can now take part in more complex conversations, ask them to make reservations for restaurants, ask them to set reminders. Speech is easy and the bar is super high.
Let's say you are a producer of a fridge, a microwave, a TV, place a speaker and a microphone into these devices and you are good to go. All the information you are wanting to consume can be possible with these devices and is easy to gain.
Alexa Skills kit - you look at this through applications, for example, "Alexa enable the magic door (game)", Alexa will then open the application 'Magic Door'.
With these devices, we have an immediate connection, due to them being able to talk back and they provide us with the content that we want from them, the information we want to consume.
Using these speech devices is natural, for example, Maura, a 94-year-old woman, could not use a mobile device at all, she just couldn't get her head around the skills needed to use them. However, with Alexa, all she has to do is talk, meaning there is nothing to learn, so it is easy for her to use.
