Amazing New Year's Eve Fireworks Spinning 2014. WATCH IN 1080 HD.
Science is pretty cool. Its a simple combustion reaction of iron from the steel wool and oxygen from the air to create these beautiful sparks. Just the right way to celebrate New Year's Eve with homemade fireworks!
*WARNING DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME* I say this because, this demonstration can be dangerous if not done correctly. We did this experiment in a controlled environment such as the 20 foot wide ditch with a river or a tunnel. In addition, we did it after the day it rained. Embers and dry grass don't mix well. As for safety, we wore cotton clothing, to protect our skin and hair as well as wear safety goggles. You don't want an ember in you eye right?
