ʿAmr ibn Kulthūm (عمرو بن كلثوم) was a pre-Islamic poet and warrior. He was the chief of the Taghlib tribe and is said to have killed the king of Al-Ḥīrah, ʿAmr ibn Hind.
His poem is considered one of the most beautiful of the Mu'allaqat (The hanging odes) and deals with the exploits of his tribe and the glory of their victories.
