Getting to the GFS Thoth before obtaining Power Bombs and collecting a Super Missile pack before Area 3, both after Area 1. At the end, I decided to make my way to Area 3 rather than Area 4 and its warp pipe because it is more practical.
If the Power Bomb blocks obstructing the elevator tunnel to the GFS Thoth are not cleared, the game will soft lock upon returning via the elevator.
