Arachnus is a HUGE pain in the ass,i highly suggest you don't repeat my mistake and get High Jump before fighting him.He got three phases,his first and second phases are nothing to worry about,but his third is a pure hell all because of one attack,his green fireballs not only stays for a long time but also a pretty hard to evade from and he will not wait until they disappear.
