So today was a experiment that turned out to be a success. I used a detuned AM radio hooked up to the CV input on the Volca Modular as a noise source so I could use it to make hi-hat sounds, turned out pretty bloody good! Also turns out the Modular can make pretty meaty kick drums so it's pretty good as an analog drum machine as long as you only need one drum sound at once.

The radio is that little white and orange thing top left. I chose that because it has a 3.5mm output and it's nice and small to film. It's a wind up radio which is a bit of a pain as it doesn't run for long so I might use Walkman radio next time.The Modular is running through my DIY John Hollis Flatline optical compressor and the Volca Bass is running through a Monotron Delay. A touch of TC Electronics M30 reverb was added in Reaper. Acid!!!
