Another day in the life of a restaurant owner — and there’s never just one thing going on.
I start the day in the kitchen cooking for a local Realtor event before heading over to Onassis for an important meeting with US Foods. With food costs always changing, I’m constantly looking at pricing, quality, service, and whether we’re getting the best deal for our restaurants. Could that mean switching food suppliers?
I don’t bring the camera into the actual meeting, but I take you along for the conversations before and after and give you a look at what goes into making these decisions behind the scenes.
Then the restaurant hat comes off (sort of 😂) and I head over to our Airbnb to inspect the property, make sure everything is ready for the next guests, and catch up with one of our cleaners.
Cooking, meetings, food costs, restaurant operations, an Airbnb… just another day running small businesses.
