In an upside-down world that gaslights many of our realities, how do we trust our own sense of what’s real, right, and useful? We will share stories, have some laughs, deconstruct ‘denial,’ and explore the role of starting-where-you-are, intuitive knowing, and even *not* knowing, in inner & outer liberation. This personal talk by newly-aware-‘traumagenic DID system’/plural and longtime self/peer-healer Iridescent Birdie is for folks at any ‘stage’ of identity or personal growth. It will end with an epic poem on the conference theme: We are the Revolution!
Having survived recurring trauma since birth, Iridescent Birdie is a true original, on an ongoing quest for personal and collective healing. A professional social justice organizer for decades, she/they now teach energy medicine, perform poems at events, and are writing a book called Stuffed Animal Alchemy. Birdie hadn’t heard of dissociation or plurality until last year! She is a newly-aware system-in-progress who knows we don’t have to be ‘further along’ to help one/many-another.
