I know I say it every time but I literally cannot believe I finished this lol. Life has, as usual, been crazy and exhausting, so big thank you to the judges for all the extensions, I could not have finished this without them. There were, as always, more things I wanted to include but couldn't because of timing - I'll mention them in the notes section down below.
While it's not perfect or even great (random aesthetic shots are doing a lot of heavy lifting here), I'm weirdly proud of this video. Also living for Razan and Connell both having Bad Guy covers as their first song lol.
Thank you to Merel and Anne for plotting with me for this video, and I'm looking forward to even more plots to come with everyone. I'm already in love with everyone's characters, bi panic fr.
NOTES:
- It's not in here, but Connell recognises River from an earlier interaction they've had off-camera. He just hasn't had the chance to talk to her yet about it.
- Connell and Helena's talk happens while they're being shown around by Lord Renfield and Ms Kenway. They are lagging waaaaay behind the group lol. And yes, Con, despite not being sure whether he still wants to be a pirate, is still down for Helena's schemes. Old habits die hard.
- Why does Connell decide to leave his room after seeing a rando in the garden? Who knows, but at least he manages to stop Talia from potentially getting hurt.
- Not shown on camera for time, but Con and Helena are sat next to each other at breakfast, and now have food-themed codenames to refer to all the other contestants. Sounds wholesome, except they just use them to talk about who would be easiest to rob lol.
- Connell attends precisely ONE dance lesson, doesn't do a single step (that pesky leg injury...), and leaves halfway through. But at least he showed up?
- Not shown - Connell and Gabriele have a chat as well after Razan sneaks into Gabriele's room.
- Is Lawrence being a caring friend/captain, or is there more to it?
- Connell definitely spent 90% of the ball in the corner with his arms crossed over his chest. He's not good at dancing or romance, leave him be. Someday Lawrence's words might get through to him...

Well. I think not editing Non/Disney for four years was long enough, dont you?
Im officially back on the crossover editing train and boy does it feel good. When Merel came out with this MEP, I just had to do something for it! I will be honest, this video was HARD and stressful at times for me - relearning how to mask, relearning Saber, things just... not working - and it didnt turn out how I expected, but considering I havent edited a Non/Disney crossover in literally four years and this video was pretty much throwing myself in the deep end with all the effects, Im fairly happy with the result. Onwards and upwards from here!
Also, I could pretend that this ship isnt an RP couple, but I know plenty of people know otherwise, so yeahhhh this is based on Finn/Michelle from The Invitation. Their personalities just worked too well for the moon/sun theme that it had to be done.
HUGE thank you to Karissa for the backgrounds and for Michelle, to Anne for providing a Titan A.E copy that didnt wreck my Sony Vegas, and to Karissa, Merel, and Anne for hyping me up the whole time I made this.
PLOT:
Fairly simple - the moon (Cale) sees the sun (Ariel) from afar and simps/imagines them together, etc. Later, the sun sees the moon from afar, and bc shes not a coward like the moon, she whacks on a cute dress and goes up to talk to him (cue flirting).
