A gorgeous ballad by the legendary, Ralph Towner. Wish I had a classical guitar for this one, but I had this on loop all of yesterday and wanted to try my hand at it anyway (and even improvise around the tune as Ralph would've whenever he played it). Gorgeous writing and one of those tunes that pulls you in immediately. I did take some liberties with fingerings, so as to mellow out some of the high end when you translate this tune to electric guitar. That said, I am a Jazz guy after all!
Do check out all of the @ECMRecords catalogue, "Time Line" and "Ana" are two absolute gems. Hope I did it some justice, here's "Always By Your Side"!
