The unwritten motto of the British Special Forces is four simple words. Words that speak to heart, character and success.
Always a little further.
Those words have helped me so much in life. Ever since I first heard them, whilst standing in an underground bunker at the end of eleven months of 21 SAS Selection. Trousers ripped. Blood and mud on my face.
The commanding officer stood in front of us and said this:
“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is often just the word extra.
When every part of you says stop, that's the moment. Give a little extra. Give more. That's where the summits are. Always a little further.”
Most people never find out because they stop just before.
