In this video, we will try out hand on gum bichromate printing. Gum dichromate printing.It is classified as a non-silver printing process as it does not make use of silver nitrate like other processes like kallitype, albumen or salt printing.
It make uses of
1. Gum Arabic
2. A dichromate (Ammonia or Potassium)
3. Watercolor or poster color
It is possible to create painterly images from photographic negatives. While gum printing is traditionally a multi-layered printing process, satisfactory results may be obtained from a single layer.
We used a 8x10 x ray negative I shot a few years to make the print. Follow along with me as I made the print.
